As a General Manager at Helpling Singapore (all genders), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the growth and success of our Clean or Care category. You will provide strategic leadership, oversee the entire category P&L, and drive initiatives to grow revenue and local EBITDA. 

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of P&L management, operations management and team leadership in Tier-1 consumer tech companies. 

About your tasks:

Leadership

  • Define and communicate the category vision and mission, aligning with the company's overall goals.

  • Build, lead, and coach a high-performing team to achieve the KPI targets.

  • Ensure clear communication of category strategy and action plans to all stakeholders.

  • Engage with local regulatory and political stakeholders within the home services ecosystem.

  • Foster strategic partnerships and business opportunities to accelerate category growth.

Strategy and Planning:

  • Manage the entire category P&L, taking ultimate responsibility for financial performance of the category.

  • Develop and execute the category growth strategy to achieve revenue and EBITDA targets (+50% yoy growth respectively). 

  • Define category positioning, target audience, and ideal customer and partner experience.

Execution:

  • Work with the local marketing team to drive new customer acquisition

  • Define the team structure required to achieve category growth targets.

  • Develop targets, processes, and operating cadences for improvements in customer happiness and partner success

  • Collaborate with the Tech and Product teams to address platform and internal workflow needs.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • >3 years of experience in P&L management, operations management and team leadership in a Tier-1 consumer tech company. 

  • Strong analytical and business acumen, with a track record of getting things done. Action-biased with the capability to prioritize effectively and efficiently.

  • Strong work ethic with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in building and managing high-performing teams in a cross-cultural environment.

  • Business proficiency in English.

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong relations with other offices.
