As a Senior Product Manager (all genders) focusing on Engagement and Retention, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing Helpling’s user experience in Singapore, driving initiatives that improve retention, loyalty, and satisfaction. Singapore is our fastest-growing market, presenting a unique opportunity to deliver significant impact by crafting and executing strategies tailored to local needs while staying aligned with global product goals.

You will work closely with the HQ product team in Berlin and Singapore leadership, ensuring a seamless connection between local initiatives and the company’s global vision. As part of your mission, you’ll identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities, leverage user insights, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional product outcomes.

About your key responsibilities:
  • Engagement and Retention Strategy: Define and execute a retention-oriented product strategy for the Singapore market, focusing on enhancing the user journey and increasing lifetime value.
  • Upselling & Cross-Selling: Drive initiatives to expand user value, including transitioning one-time users to recurring services, higher-frequency plans (e.g., bi-weekly to weekly), and service add-ons.
  • User Experience Optimization: Implement features that improve user engagement, loyalty, and operational efficiency.
  • Localized Solutions: Partner with Singapore leadership to tailor product offerings that address specific market challenges and user preferences.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with teams across various functions (e.g., operations, marketing, business intelligence) and maintain a strong connection with the HQ product team to align on global priorities and share insights.
  • A/B Testing and Experimentation: Lead experimentation to validate retention and engagement ideas, continuously iterating to deliver better outcomes.
  • Market Awareness: Stay attuned to competitor strategies, market trends, and user behaviors, identifying opportunities for differentiation and innovation.
  • Team Connection: Report directly to the Head of Product in Berlin, ensuring alignment with the global product vision and strategy.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Experience & Skills:
  • 6+ years of product management experience, with a strong focus on retention, engagement, or loyalty in B2C or marketplace environments.
  • Proven expertise in designing and delivering user lifecycle improvements, upselling, and cross-selling strategies that drive measurable growth.
  • Strong ability to lead discovery processes (e.g., user research, stakeholder interviews) to identify high-impact opportunities.
  • Experience working across global and local teams, ensuring alignment while addressing market-specific needs.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks and an iterative product development approach.
Soft Skills:
  • Strategic leadership: Ability to define and communicate a compelling vision for user retention.
  • Cross-cultural collaboration: Strong communication and relationship-building skills to work closely with teams in both Singapore and Berlin.
  • Adaptability and resilience: Thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing local market dynamics with global strategies.
  • Hands-on and proactive mindset: Take an aggressive, action-oriented approach to identifying opportunities and driving initiatives to completion.
  • User empathy: A deep understanding of user behaviors, pain points, and motivations to create impactful product experiences.
